Messy Church

Messy HandMessy Church is our after-school activity for children and their parents/grandparents/carers with lots of crafts, songs and food!

What is Messy Church like?

We start with coffee, squash & cake. Then there are lots of arts, crafts and games.  Next a short service with stories, songs and prayers followed by a hot meal. There is no charge for Messy Church.

It takes place on the third Tuesday of each month 3.30pm until about 6pm in the church hall, offering both children and adults the opportunity to meet up with friends and a chance to relax and be creative together.

A recent theme was Jesus' saying 'I am the true vine' so the crafts featured grapes in a big way: making grapes, dipping grapes, drawing grapes, painting grapes (with feet dipped in purple paint) and, of course, eating grapes.  The children and their parents / carers finished with vine-themed worship and a great meal together.
