Vicar Ad Header

We are looking for a new vicar to build on our existing foundations and challenge us to grow. Our vision is to see more, deeper and closer followers of Jesus, and we are seeking someone with the vision and skills to lead us on our onward journey in fresh directions as a church

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Gifted to faithfully teach the Word of God with skill and passion, trusting in the power of God's Spirit to root it in daily living
  • Prayerfully reliant on God and ready to lead the church family into a more devoted prayer life
  • A visionary leader who will help us review our church's vision and draw up a Mission Action Plan
  • Experienced and committed to equipping and releasing us, in response to God's call, for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up
  • Outward-looking and passionate to reach all of Claygate with the gospel - rich and poor, young and old, churched and unchurched
  • Able to relate to people of all ages with a pastoral and loving heart for the church family and wider parish community
  • A team player who is eager to lead, encourage and equip our staff team as they seek to serve the church

Are you able to help us to build our faith and to grow God's kingdom in Claygate and beyond?

Ministry Interns

Ministry Interns

The Ministry Intern scheme at HTC is designed to give young adults the chance to explore God’s call on their life and grow in discipleship and service through ministering in the local church.

We aim to provide each Ministry Intern with an experience-rich year in which they serve in different ministry areas as well as provide in-depth support in a ministry area of interest and need. Our desire is to tailor the internship around your gifts and strengths, whilst challenging you in areas you might not have tried before so that you can grow and develop.

We are therefore praying for someone who can demonstrate

  • a committed evangelical Christian faith
  • a desire to grow in personal discipleship and service
  • a servant heart who enjoys contributing to a wider team
  • personal initiative and organisational skills
  • a sense of humour!

We can offer the successful candidate a stimulating environment to work in and an opportunity to gain practical and life skills, spiritual direction and an opportunity to serve the local church.

For an informal chat about the position, please talk to Brian Howells (07711 114306).
