Sunday morning
It is a beautiful morning in the Ukraine. Blue skies and not too hot.
Thank you for all your emails of support, encouragement and your prayers.
It is great to hear from you all.
This morning each of us will be with our host families. attending Church with them in our villages.
Prayer: please prayer that the placement of English people to Ukrainian families will really work and all will gel quickly.
These services will be run by the local ministers with Stu Wright saying a few words of thanks and information about what will be happening in the week.
Prayer: please pray for Stu that he will have the energy and clarity of thought and wisdom to get his message over clearly both at the service and at these important first meeting with elders and other villagers. Please also pray for his back.
After Church we will be going to the annual fair in Gyula (one of the villages). Here we will get a further opportunity to mix with the villagers, talking about why we are here and also advertising what will be happening in terms of medical, dental, hairdressing, home visits, school and youth. The fair culminates in a Goulash competition - we have been asked to help judge this!
Then after this we will be splitting up into our various functions for a couple of hours and going to set up ready for a good start on Monday morning.
Prayer: please prayer that all the stuff will get to the right locations. And that none of the important equipment will be damaged from the journey. Please also pray that the Hungarian young Christians that are leading the discussion groups will quickly feel happy with their roles and filled with Gods spirit to repressent their strong faiths in an clear and gentle way.
Prayer: please pray that God will fill all of us with his Spirit to overcome nervousness, to listen to His voice on when and who to speak to, to have the energy to complete the physical tasks, to be able to get over the language barrier and really be able to get to the center of what this is all about-Jesus!
Thanks and God bless
Stuart Sadler

Dear Stuart,
Thanks be to God that you and all your equipment arrived safely.
I'm expecting a steady stream of visitors to the Church Office this week as Philip invited those without access to a computer at home, to come and read the blog in the office!
