Message from Stuart Wright
Hi everyone back at HTC.
We are half way through the mission here. So here is a half term report.
- thanks for all your prayers
- God has been looking after us and really using is as a team
- Give thanks for:
- safety
- strong relationships with hosts and ministers
- good film nights
- encouraging number in school
- encouraging questions at the youth camp
- medics and dentists seeing as many people seeing many needy patients
- a packed hair salon
As we go forward the words of 1 Cor 2:1-5 are a guide to us.
"When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power."
We are here to proclaim Jesus Christ, not with superior wisdom or eloquence, not with wise and persuasive words but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power. Prayer: that we will be dependent on the holy spirit to empower and lead us as we combine in our areas of service.
There are too many things to mention
- for the children of the school to get to know Jesus
- for Bea as she starts as a new youth leader
- for Paddy as he starts a consultancy clinic
- for all gospel proclamations
- home visits
- relationships
- socials
- and church
- God's energy to keep going
- faith to believe in Gods power in all things
We miss you, we need your prayers, see you soon.
Love in Christ,
The Whole Team
Stuart Sadler

Thank you for the flow of reports which are so encouraging, especially about the new ventures. No health news is good news (so presume goulash judges survived unscathed!)- hope Stu's back is under control too. If you're still sweltering, enjoy the attached packet of Claygate temperature: 15 o C as I write. It's forecast to go up again by the weekend, so you shouldn't freeze on your return.
Your lists of topics for prayer are especially helpful and it's great to note that the youth worker is already 'in post'.
Thanks to the blog, those of us who are not with you can feel so much closer in time and distance to all that you are doing through God's grace. That's even more true for me as a past participant because I can visualise the people, the places, the challenges and the rewards - above all the joy of working together as a team with Jesus as both captain and coach.
