Sunday morning

Friends,

Well the last day in the villages has arrived, oh the week has gone so fast.

I want to thanks God for being with us and teaching us so so much - I want to thank him for humbling us and for the inspiration of the people here who have so little but give us so much as they open the homes, families and lives to us.

Last night was the last of the socials in the villages - in Akli. We are their guests in their homes and all week they serve us with such insistence, at these socials it Is great to show our appreciation in a little way by serving them. It is great to make a fuss of them I especially like looking after the older ladies who have had such a hard life, this is our opportunity to serve them with biscuits, squash and choc crispy cakes. Making sure everyone is fed and no goes home thirsty.

This morning we have 3 church services in which we will be participating quite a lot. We will be doing the prayers (1 person from each mission) and singing with the children God is so big so strong and so mighty there is nothing my God cannot do then Philip will preach on John 3:1-16. Please pray for these services for Philip that he has words that are clear, simple and focused as dart. For Akos who will be translating Philip that he too will find the right words as he translates in to Hungarian. And for all the people praying some of whom have not prayed in front of such a large group of people, help them to remember that they are talking to their wonderful daddy with simple heartfelt words.

Mostly pray for those listening and that Gods word will sink deep into their hearts and comfort them if they need comforting and challenge them if they need challenging.

Then it will be lunch in Gyula and on to settes (coaches) for the trip to the border.

We know that so many of you are thinking about us and praying for us. It is such a comfort to us to know this and I thank you.

Dear Stuart,
Just got back from church and read your latest blog. A number of people came up to me and asked if I had read your latest entry. Francoise and Sarah Stroud were able to give a little more news as they had spoken to their other halves! We prayed in church for today's services and for a safe journey home amongst other things.

Someone said that the Tarcy family have some kind of tummy bug - I do hope they are ok and can travel without too much difficulty.

The team must be very tired.
We are all looking forward to hearing your feedback and catching up with the latest villagers' news.

The sun is shining brilliantly for the second day here - clear blue skies and quite hot. HTC was packed with 4 baptisms and Tom preached on what it is to be a child of God.

Members of the Ukraine prayer team continued to meet on Friday and Saturday morning at 6am! I hope you have felt supported and encouraged.

See you soon and love to everyone -
Sue
