Day 5 - The Day Is Done

Well here we are at the end of another busy day; I think that this one has been the most challenging yet. :however it may be that it has been a very full day in terms of the scheduled programme, everyone has been working incredibly hard and we did have an "interesting" start to the day ... the earlier blogs from today give you an idea of what we thought had occurred and for the best part of an hour we were contemplating things we did not want to contemplate. However it all turned out fine and I am pleased to report that everyone is still in good health. There have been lots of comments about how brilliant it is that health issues have been minor compared to previous years. There are several very practical reasons as to why this may be the case but we all acknowledge God's hand in it. We have been so protected by your prayers and His love .. it is amazing.

Following on with this theme ... we had the Thanksgiving Service this evening in Gyula to give thanks for healing within the village. This has not been done before and was another of Jeno's suggestions that we are supporting. It was very well received; Linda put the service together and she along with Michael Web Peploe and Daniel (a young Hungarian doctor with an incredible faith) gave short readings and relevant testimonies.

The t shirts were given out today to the children and the youth. It is great to see them proudly wearing them around the village.

It has been the Akli social tonight and Jill did her clog dancing again - they loved it!

The home visits by the nurses in the Allied Health team and the Community team have really enabled some very difficult situations to be uncovered. Often not much can be done practically but the demonstration of love and the use of prayer is proving to be very powerful. Please pray for those they are meeting and also for those that will not get a visit due to time restraints. Please also pray for the teams as they struggle with the emotions surrounding such visits.

One great bit of news from today - the Youth team took on a challenge from some Ukrainian Youth camp leaders to a football match ... And the result was Ukraine 2 England 3. Match reporters reliably tell us David Shine was Man of the Match!

Almost done for the day: please pray for everyone as the week draws to a close and people are getting very tired especially the medics and the children's team.

The cost is high but the rewards are massive - may God be praised and glorified.

With love in Christ.
Andrew and Ian
