Messy Church is our new after-school activity for children and their parents/carers with lots of crafts, songs and food!

What is Messy Church like?

We start with coffee, squash & cake. Then there are lots of arts, crafts and games.  Next a short service with stories, songs and prayers followed by a hot meal. There is no charge for Messy Church.

It takes place on the first Thursday and third Tuesday of each month 3.30 - 5.45pm in the church hall, offering both children and adults the opportunity to meet up with friends and a chance to relax and be creative together.

A recent theme was Jesus' saying 'I am the true vine' so the crafts featured grapes in a big way: making grapes, dipping grapes, drawing grapes, painting grapes (with feet dipped in purple paint) and, of course, eating grapes.  The children and their parents / carers finished with vine-themed worship and a great meal together.

Who is Messy Church for?

Messy church is for everyone - young and old alike. If you are a child, you will need to bring an adult with you.
