Our VisionThroughout 2007 we spent time praying and thinking as a church to discern our priorities for the years ahead. In June 2007 we summarised our three vision aims and how we were hoping to address them.

Our aims are:

  • more followers of Jesus
  • deeper followers of Jesus
  • closer followers of Jesus

Church Vision Meeting

You can listen to Philip's talk at the Church Vision Meeting held on 20 April here. He talks about the highlights of the year just past and the challenges that lie ahead. The Annual Report 2007, which sets out the past year in more detail can be downloaded here.

Vision Update

In January 2008 Philip gave an update on the vision process with specific plans for new congregations and initiatives in 2008. You can listen to the talk here. There is also a booklet that provides further details that you can download here.

We believe that in order to see more followers of Jesus we need to expand our provision of services at HTC.  This report sets out the background to the plans for new congregations approved by the PCC at its December meeting.

The larger the church, the more important the small groups.  As part of aiming to see deeper followers of Jesus we have conducted a review of small groups and looked at possible ways forward.  This report to the PCC is the result.

The Next Chapter

The vision process began with the Next Chapter booklet in June 2007.
